Events & Activities

Sports

At Teesta Nursing Institute, we believe in the holistic development of our students. Sports and extracurricular activities play a vital role in building teamwork, leadership, discipline, and overall well-being.
We actively encourage students to participate in a wide range of sports such as volleyball, badminton, athletics, and indoor games, along with yoga and fitness sessions. Annual sports events and inter-institute competitions are organized to foster a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie.
Beyond academics, we aim to create a vibrant campus life where students can explore their talents, stay active, and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Industrial Visits

At Teesta Nursing Institute, we believe that real-world exposure is key to effective learning. Our industrial visits are designed to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and practical application.
Students are taken to reputed hospitals, diagnostic centers, rehabilitation facilities, public health departments, and NGOs, where they observe healthcare operations, patient care protocols, and hospital management systems in action. These visits provide valuable insights into the healthcare industry, enhance clinical understanding, and prepare students for professional challenges ahead.
Through guided tours, expert interactions, and hands-on observations, our students gain a deeper appreciation for the nursing profession and its vital role in the healthcare ecosystem.

Activities Conducted by NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Teesta Nursing Institute is committed to instilling a sense of social responsibility, discipline, and community service among students.
Our NSS volunteers actively participate in a wide range of impactful activities, including:

Awareness Programs on hygiene, nutrition, women’s health, and disease prevention
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drives)

First Aid and Disaster Preparedness Workshops
Community Outreach & Home Visits
Participation in National Integration Camps and Youth Leadership Programs
These initiatives not only help students give back to society but also build empathy, leadership, and teamwork — qualities that are essential in the nursing profession.

Field Work

Field work is an integral part of the nursing curriculum at Teesta Nursing Institute, designed to provide students with real-world experience in diverse healthcare settings. It allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations, helping them understand community health challenges and patient care beyond hospital walls.
Our students engage in:
Community Health Surveys
Home Visits for Patient Follow-ups
Maternal & Child Health Assessments
Health Awareness Campaigns
School and Anganwadi Health Programs
Collaboration with NGOs and Public Health Departments
Field work enhances students’ clinical skills, communication, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving abilities. It also instills a deep sense of commitment to public service — a core value in the nursing profession.
At Teesta, we ensure that every nursing student gains not just classroom knowledge, but ground-level insight into the health needs of society.

Alumni Association

The Teesta Nursing Institute Alumni Association serves as a lifelong connection between the institute and its graduates. Our alumni are spread across leading healthcare institutions in India and abroad, making us proud with their achievements and contributions to the medical field.
The association plays an active role in mentoring current students, sharing real-world experiences, and contributing to the growth and development of the institute. Regular alumni meetups, guest lectures, and career guidance sessions help maintain a strong bond between past and present students.
At Teesta, we celebrate our alumni not just for where they’ve reached — but for how they continue to inspire the next generation of nurses.

Health Camp

At Teesta Nursing Institute, we believe in taking healthcare beyond the classroom and into the community. Our students and faculty actively organize and participate in health camps across rural and underserved areas.
These camps focus on:
General Health Check-ups
Blood Pressure & Sugar Level Monitoring
Anemia & Nutrition Awareness
Maternal and Child Health Services
Immunization Support
Health Education & Counseling
Health camps provide valuable hands-on experience for our students while fostering a deep sense of social responsibility and service. They also help spread awareness, offer preventive care, and make basic healthcare accessible to those in need.
Through these outreach programs, we aim to empower communities while shaping skilled, compassionate, and socially-aware healthcare professionals.
